Babs, I turn to you:
How do I stop those little green underline links for ads that appear in the text of websites? Damn, they are annoying.
I'm using IE XP.

In the internet explorer menu go to.... Tools >>> Internet Options >>> Advanced Then scroll down to Underline links, and click Hover or Never. I dont know if that will solve our problem but its worth a shot!

Shows them if you hover the mouse over.
You need to explain the problem a bit more, I don't know whether you just mean links in general or something specific.

I would try incognasticating your hyperextension disnognication drivers. It's just a slight change to your brotherboard and shouldn't gesticulate your overall inoculation.

Shows them if you hover the mouse over. You need to explain the problem a bit more, I don't know whether you just mean links in general or something specific. More and more websites (like IGN.com, for example) have green double-underlined words (words that appear to be chosen at random) all over their pages that link to adverts all over the 'net. I.E. Every time "ps2" appears in the text it links to an EBay auction for PS2. Every time "game" appears in the text it link to some gaming website... a real pain in the ass, since those words appear all over most articles. They seem to be different than regular blue underlined links... and I don't know how to stop them. Bastards.

It sounds like a plugin or 'enhancement' that's decided you want it installed. Have you tried another browser on the same page? If not try firebird It's small and quick and if you don't see the same things when you view the page you can be pretty sure it's something untoward with IE.

Well, the problem seems limited to only a few sites so I just chalk it up to those a-holes shoving ads down my throat. Oh well, hope they make enough money to stay in business and aren't forced to set up random temporary fourms.
